McPherson Racing

A dynamic team, headed by trainer Graeme McPherson, has seen significant success in recent seasons. State-of-the-art facilities and exceptional levels of care mean that each horse is given the opportunity to reach his full potential.

The yard is situated outside Stow-on-the-Wold, Gloucestershire in 200 acres of glorious Cotswold countryside. Centrally located, the yard not only benefits from a picturesque location, but excellent road access to racetracks around the UK.

The yard was founded in 2005 by Graeme McPherson. Having been involved in point-to-pointing and National Hunt racing in various capacities for a number of years he was keen to establish his own base from which to oversee every aspect of the training and management of the horses in his care.

In November 2009 Graeme took out a full licence. The yard’s results since then speak for themselves. Each year we aim to improve our statistics – wins and win/place percentages are particularly important – and each year to date we have achieved that.

Following a period of substantial investment, the yard can now boast top quality facilities and a standard of horse care and management that is second to none – to see what the yard has to offer click on the FACILITIES page above.

McPherson Racing is sponsored by two ardent National Hunt Racing enthusiasts

Longcroft Building Services Limited and Nailsworth Mills Estate

and we are extremely grateful to both companies for the support that they give us.

Every owner at McPherson Racing is given the opportunity to join the yard sponsorship scheme. Particularly at a time when prize money levels are being squeezed, sponsorship provides owners with a financial benefit in return for their horses carrying the sponsors’ logos on their silks and in the paddock, and an opportunity to recover VAT on training fees and racing expenses under HMRC’s VAT Scheme for Racehorse Owners. Our sponsors thus benefit the yard and our owners alike, and we are extremely grateful for their continued support.
