28 October

Posted on October 28, 2018

The racing does seem a bit sporadic at the moment, with the summer horses pretty much done for their season, but with the ground just not yet soft enough to be getting too many winter horses out. Still, we know that POPERINGHE GINGER likes a decent surface, and the mares bumper at Aintree looked just right for her. She was a bit tapped for toe when they quickened at the top of the straight, but she stayed on really well to run into third. Whether she goes for another bumper or whether we go over hurdles next will, I suspect, depend on when and where the rain comes.
